Strategy for strengthening: Institutions, communities and territory.

The institutional strengthening proposal that accompanies the program “Productive and social inclusion: programs and policies for the promotion of a formal economy” presented by the “EFI-Formal and Inclusive Economy Alliance” seeks to strengthen the quality of institutions of national higher education, as well as strengthening communities and territories through the implementation of science, technology and innovation activities in coordination with institutions of the productive sector.

The strengthening plan has actions in two dimensions: from the execution of the projects that result in an increase in capabilities that are reflected in an improvement in traditional R&D&I indicators; and from the institutional commitment of the members of the Alliance to contribute to the Program beyond their participation in projects. For this reason, the execution of the program will be carried out under a governance scheme where representatives of the different institutions of the alliance will have a seat and will be able to contribute to the decision-making process.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:

Design and implement models, policies and instruments that lead to organizational changes and capacity building to make science, research and its application, the dominant culture within an ecosystem of institutions, projects and networks of researchers, through participation in the Program 'Productive and social inclusion: programs and policies for the promotion of a formal economy'.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:

1. Strengthen the quality of higher education institutions by supporting the processes of institutional accreditation and accreditation of programs associated with the subject matter and disciplines related to the Program Proposal.

2. Design and implement strategies for the training of human resources in Higher Education Institutions and in the institutions of the Productive Sector that are part of the alliance.

3. Build and consolidate national and international collaboration networks between the participants of the alliance that lead to results in research, teaching, extension and internationalization of the participating HEIs.

4. Promote, through the Program and the projects that comprise it, the interaction between the productive sector and higher education institutions for the development of social and organizational innovation activities that result in the application of novel initiatives and policy recommendations that allow progress in the formalization of the economy.

5. Promote the impact-oriented evaluation and monitoring capabilities of the Alliance institutions, both in the monitoring of institutional projects and in issues of academic and research management and transfer of results to society.
