Description
The team proposing this project, the District Institute of Science, Biotechnology and Innovation for Health (IDCBIS)) guarantees the sufficiency of cells and tissues and blood components to meet health needs in the specialized treatment of diseases.
For the optimal development of biological and therapeutic products, this institute has a reference blood bank for the district, supplying approximately 75 percent of the transfusion needs of hospitals and other health centers, as well as a certified tissue bank. by Invima in compliance with good Practices and its high safety and quality standards in terms of tissue distribution: corneas, skin and finally with the Umbilical Cord Blood Bank, which is the first public one in Colombia.
