Description:
We are CIMBIUR, an interdisciplinary research center located in the city of Bogotá. The multidisciplinary nature has been the greatest strength of our research, investigating novel concepts that underlie the complexities of our work areas. Our team is made up of dedicated and experienced researchers from a wide variety of disciplines and fields. We are proud of the diversity of our staff, and each member contributes their unique skills to the projects we work on.
Mission:
Produce knowledge in microbiology and biotechnology in an interdisciplinary scientific research ecosystem that timely and efficiently impacts the teaching, research, extension and transfer processes, with a great sense of responsibility and contributing to the solution of problems in the country.< /p>
Vision:
In 2027 we will be recognized leaders at a national and international level in the generation of scientific knowledge in microbiology and biotechnology, significantly impacting the solution of health, environmental, and agricultural and livestock industry problems in Colombia. Our scientific excellence and innovation capacity will allow us to establish solid alliances with the private and public sectors, promoting technological transfer and actively contributing to the sustainable development of the country. Through a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration and high-level training, we will train a new generation of scientists and leaders committed to promoting science and the well-being of society.
