Abstract
This work addresses the relevance of the training proposals of the communication
and journalism programs with respect to the labor needs of the central region
of Colombia, one of the largest in the country. To meet this objective, we have
used a methodology based on a mixed approach, which includes both the analysis
of the proposals contemplated in 15 university communication and journalism
programs, which belonged to 14 institutions, and 3 in-depth interviews with
experts in communication, economics and education from the region.
