Abstract
This paper covers initially the main moments of the notion of trauma in Freud's work: trauma theory, psychic reality and primal fantasies. Then, it explores the notion of "war trauma", using three clinical vignettes to illustrate it, and finally it presents and defines the notion of "psychoanalyst trauma" that Eric Laurent developed from Lacan's later work.
