Abstract
In this work is presented the synthesis and characterization of the metal complexesL-leucine-Ni (L-Leu-Ni) and L-Isoleucine-Ni (L-Ile-Ni). Both complexes were characterized by FT-IR spectroscopic and TGA-DSC thermal analysis. These analyses indicate that both complexes indicate that both complexes are coordinated to the nickel by the amino and carboxylate groups with two coordination water molecules. Therefore these materials can be called L-leucinate Ni(II) dihydrate and L-isoleucinate Ni(II) dihydrate. The structural analysis using powder X-ray diffraction indi-cates that both complexes crystallize with possible monoclinic space group P21.
