N2 - The article presents the identification of key factors in the implementation of quality management practices in Sterilization Centers within the framework of the need to ensure business continuity and comply the Patient Safety Policy. The methodology was structured in three stages: Identification of standards, analysis of quality management practices and identification of key factors for its implementation. It involved the case study analysis of health models, practices and standards aligned with current legal regulations, representative integrative elements to increase value in organizations. The results of the literature review provide a framework for the evolution of trends in quality practices in medical processes. In this sense, it is evident that it is required that the Sterilization Centers include processes of comparative measurement through common indicators and the linking of personnel in the activities of the processes to ensure patient safety. Risk management is a critical factor for process management and quality assurance.
