Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the quality of life in people with Rheumatoid Arthritis diagnosis in a Colombian patients sample. 124 patients were evaluated (110 woman, 14 men) with rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis based on the American Rheumatism Association criteria (Arnett,1987). The results were compared with the information in a similar research carried out in the United States. The Quality of life were measured through Spanish version of the Quality of Life Questionaire (QOL-RA) (Danao, Padilla, & Jonson, 2001). Colombian patients whith Rheumatoid Arthritis had a better quality of life in all QOL-RA dimensions compared with the Unided States patiens who participated in the original test application in American and Latinoamerican participants.
