Abstract

Public health problems are complex, multifaceted, concatenat-ed and contradictory; epidemiology is in need of a complement allowing it to deal with such objects. Risk seen from the point of view of multivariate models' epidemiological perspective would seem to offer great potential in this respect but, nev-ertheless, this is inadequate for an integral understanding of study phenomena. The current proposal suggests integrating epidemiology and anthropology from dialogue between risk and narrative models arising from abductive, iterative and recursive ethnography.
