Description
Manual muscle assessment is a useful tool for evaluating ventilatory mechanics in adults with asthma; however, there are few studies in the literature reviewed that determine its psychometric properties. This project assesses the reliability and validity of manual muscle assessment in adults with asthma. A study of diagnostic tests with cross-sectional sampling and random assignment to the evaluation was carried out by two independent evaluators. Muscle strength variables and static respiratory pressures, socio-demographic, anthropometric and disease-related variables are included.
