Project: Research Project

Project Details

Examine, define and explain the main theories of popular representation, pointing out that the Colombian system intentionally operates with a classic and naive theory of popular representation, which is functional to presidentialism, authoritarianism and the corporatization of the Colombian State, in the scenario of a simply formal or electoral democracy.

Additionally, the thesis of representation systems in a broad sense is examined, within which judicial activity and constitutional ruling materialize concurrent forms of representation, which counteract the effects of the classical theory of representation and allow the development of a substantive democracy. or material.
