New tools for indirect and in situ mapping of COVID-19 transmission in Venezuela and Venezuelan migrants in Colombia

Project: Research Project

Project Details

Description

Venezuela's economy and health infrastructure have collapsed.

There is an urgent need for an evidence base to support COVID-19 interventions tailored to this unique situation to achieve control while avoiding significant indirect loss of life.

Leveraging an existing GCRF Network (VeConVen), and involving leading Venezuelan, Colombian and Ecuadorian epidemiologists, modelers and social scientists alongside their Glasgow colleagues, we will provide this evidence base and communicate it to stakeholders and policy makers.
