Project Details

Description

Cervical cancer is of interest in public health and in the clinical context, due to its high incidence, its cost-effective screening and the fact that it is easily treatable in its early stages. Despite the existence of some vaccines against Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), the prevention strategy should still be based on cytology, especially in a developing country like Colombia, where there is still a high mortality rate.
