Description

The objective of the research is to analyze the evolutionary origins of crying, the historical process regarding tears and crying, specifying medical, neurobiological and social aspects. Research questions include Why do we cry? Why are tears linked to religion redemption? What do they really mean? Why emotional tears differ from basal or lubrication tears of the eye. Does the science of lamentations and tears "dacryology" exist? Is crying an emotional catharsis? Do you cry for pleasure? Eg Watching dramatic, disaster movies, plays, stories or novels that evoke crying and make those who experience it feel better.
