Project Details
Description
The objective of this project is to evaluate the relationship between autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and the microbiome. We want to emphasize which are the most frequent microorganisms in the intestinal microbiota of these children, the difference with the population of children with typical development and try to establish if these changes are cause or effect of the condition. Initially, a systematic review of the literature will be carried out, and later we want to develop a field work with a population of Colombian children with ASD compared with close controls.
