Objective: The Seminar is a space for study and research for students of the Faculty of International, Political and Urban Studies as well as students from other Faculties and graduates of the Universidad del Rosario, interested in issues related to Public Management.
Seminar profile: This seminar seeks to work on social innovation and public management with a theoretical and practical focus on the most recent developments in this field. Additionally, it will explore the advances in the construction of the most influential innovation laboratories at present. With this work, the seed group intends to support the DemoLab of the Council of Bogota.
Methodology: Students will review academic articles related to social innovation, public innovation and citizen innovation labs. In addition, they have the opportunity to reinforce their professional skills such as teamwork, time management, project organization and responsibility. At the same time, they strengthen their knowledge in the public sphere through experiential experiences in alliances with public and private entities with which the seedbed advances activities.
Active lines or projects:
- Construction of a research project for the mapping of innovation spaces in Colombia.
- Alliance for research and systematization of information with the citizen laboratory of public innovation of the Council of Bogota.
- Positioning of social networks for the dissemination of academic knowledge through alliances with relevant political and academic figures.
- Prospective study on tourism cluster in Nariño in alliance with the chamber of commerce of the department.
