Resumen

Antecedentes y objetivo: Colombia es un país de diversas regiones geográficas, algunas con terrenos montañosos que pueden dificultar el acceso a las zonas urbanas a las personas que viven en zonas remotas. En 2005, se inició un programa para establecer centros de diálisis peritoneal (DP) remotos en Colombia con el fin de mejorar el acceso a la DP para los pacientes con enfermedad renal en etapa terminal que enfrentan barreras de acceso geográficas o financieras.
