In the hospital setting, it is important to carry out literature reviews that allow professionals working in the health sector to understand the basic models of care, planning and their contributions in the management of hospital nutrition. This is why the present article searched Medline, Pubmed, Scielo, Ovid y Science Direct databases, together with a manual review of management models of clinical nutrition care, and later a literature review was carried out with the information available from management models in clinical nutrition and its correlation with strategic management planning. The contributions and application of the premises of the planning school have contributed to facilitate in the models of clinical nutrition to have tools that are used in the field of the hospital institutions to favor an optimal process of nutritional care.
