Institutional strength, peacebuilding, and productive entrepreneurship-exploratory analysis in Colombia

Resumen

Después de más de medio siglo de conflicto armado, Colombia avanza hacia un período de posconflicto. Las estrategias nacionales y regionales orientadas a fortalecer las capacidades institucionales, promover el emprendimiento productivo y reducir la violencia organizada y el crimen, son líneas de acción cruciales para el alivio de las quejas actuales (y futuras) de los excombatientes y de la sociedad colombiana en general. Este estudio presenta un análisis exploratorio sobre la fortaleza institucional, la construcción de la paz y el emprendimiento productivo en Colombia. Se desarrollaron tres índices compuestos basados en evaluaciones internacionales o estudios seminales, a saber: Índice de Fortaleza Institucional; Índice de Construcción de la Paz (basado en el Índice de Paz Negativo y el Índice de Paz Positiva); e Índice de Emprendimiento Productivo. Los resultados mostraron una correlación significativa entre el Índice de Fortaleza Institucional y el Índice de Emprendimiento Productivo. La población es la variable con mayor correlación con el empresariado productivo, el empleo, el PIB, la sofisticación industrial, la innovación, la delincuencia y ciertos tipos de violencia (sexual y doméstica).
