Resumen

The international community, national and international non-governmental organisations, and scholars have praised the Colombian Peace Agreement for opening institutional spaces to facilitate the participation of women, considering the input of the Colombian women’s rights movement, and mainstreaming gender into the accord. However, the delays and hurdles of monitoring and implementing the gender dimensions of the agreement invite consideration of the changing and unstable position of feminist ideals and organisations in peace policymaking. This study focuses on how the gender indicators of political and citizen participation designed for measuring the advances of the implementation of the peace agreement have shaped and redrawn the gender dimensions of the peace agreement and the relation between women’s rights advocates and the Colombian government.
