Resumen

The article presents the findings of an investigation on how private higher education professors in Bogotá, Colombia have faced the work and family burden during the confinement periods of the current pandemic. The data we present was collected through a mixed methodology that included the application of a survey, with one hundred completed forms, 14 semi-structured interviews, and two focus groups. Our analysis focuses on two significant problems that professors had to face during the period of isolation in the pandemic. The first is the sudden loss of support to take care of others and themselves. The second is the redistribution of work and care time, which was affected by the transfer of work to domestic spaces.
