2015 José Francisco Meneses-Echávez et al. La fatiga relacionada con el cáncer (FRC) es el problema más común y devastador en pacientes con cáncer, incluso después de un tratamiento exitoso. El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar los efectos de las intervenciones de ejercicios multimodales supervisados sobre la fatiga relacionada con el cáncer mediante una revisión sistemática y un metanálisis. Diseño. Se realizó una revisión sistemática para determinar la efectividad de las intervenciones con ejercicios multimodales sobre el FRC. Se realizaron búsquedas en las bases de datos de PubMed, CENTRAL, EMBASE y OVID entre enero y marzo de 2014 para recuperar los ensayos controlados aleatorios. El riesgo de sesgo se evaluó mediante la escala PEDro. Resultados. Se incluyeron nueve estudios n = 772 tanto en la revisión sistemática como en el metanálisis. Las intervenciones multimodales que incluyen ejercicio aeróbico, entrenamiento de resistencia y estiramiento mejoraron los síntomas de FRC (DME = 0,23; IC del 95%: -0,37 a -0,09; p = 0,001). Estos efectos también fueron significativos en pacientes sometidos a quimioterapia.
