Resumen

We report a phylogenomic and epidemiological analysis of 29 imported cases of SARS-CoV-2 in Colombian military personnel with travel history in Sinai, Egypt. Twenty-eight were classified as B.1.1.7, also known as the Alpha variant, and the remaining genomes were classified as C.36, being the first report of this Egypt endemic lineage for Colombia.
