Resumen

Introduction: The design of an angiology class of the Anatomy course is described based on a clinical case, to improve anatomical-clinical integration. Methodology: A clinical case based on 3 axes was designed: a) teaching for understanding; b) strengthening of generic capacities, and c) teaching of anatomy without cadavers. Results: The generative topic was a case of a wound from a firearm projectile that the students were to create. The comprehension goals emphasized the 3D topographic location of the cardiovascular organs. The comprehension performances included: a) virtual dissection tables to create the cases; b) anatomical models to strengthen descriptive anatomy; c) living anatomy with body painting and peer physical examination to reinforce clinical and ethical competences, and d) group discussion for the development of clinical, ethical and communicative competences. Discussion: The activity proposed focuses the development of the clinical case in understanding the role of anatomy in the genesis of the disease, in clinical examination, diagnosis, and strengthening of other capacities, in addition to ethical knowledge, interpretation of diagnostic images, three-dimensional understanding of the body and teamwork.
