Abstract

In this article we delve into the construction and management of televised electoral debates based on the review of legal documents and the evidence found in three countries: Colombia, Mexico and Ecuador. Among the conclusions, we observe that if the elections In Latin America they are strongly permeated by presidential elections —given the concentration of powers of the presidents of the region—, the truth is that the broadcasting of televised electoral debates has been irregular, in terms of the number of events and formats used.
