Abstract

Objectives: This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows:. To assess the comparative effectiveness and safety of interventions used in the management of alopecia areata (AA), including patchy alopecia (PA), alopecia totalis (AT) and alopecia universalis (AU). To establish rankings of the available treatments for AA, based on their effectiveness and safety (primary outcomes), through a network meta-analysis.
