Abstract
The shift from face-to-face classes to online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on students’ educational processes, specifically on the accessibility, acceptability (quality) and availability of education. These effects highlighted the inequalities and structural deficiencies faced by the Colombian educational system, primarily in rural areas. This article presents a case study of Mochuelo Bajo (Bogotá) during the lockdown of 2020 and the post-pandemic period in 2022. The lack of internet connections and technological devices among this population impacted access to education for students in rural and peripheral urban zones.
