Redimensionamiento programa académico de campo, promoción de la salud y prevención de la enfermedad con énfasis en salud pública

Abstract

Objective: Build the changing practices of promotion and prevention with emphasis on public health at the University of Rosario, to consider the current challenges in human resource training and national and international context.

Method: Document review.

Results: The objects of study and approaches praxiological of health sciences, have become along the story, making an impact on human resource education. In this way the disciplines of Physiotherapy, whose object of study is the human body movement, recognizes the importance of expanding its disciplinary framework, considering concepts such as capabilities, freedoms, opportunities, participation, and therefore quality of life and human development to redirect their actions from biological approach and reductionist approaches to socio-historical, comprehensive and complex, allowing physical therapists in training, capacity building, skills and competence for their performance in areas of public health.

Conclusions: Since the health sciences is required for processing in the formation of qualified human resources to tackle public health issues in a comprehensive and cross, developing citizenship skills, advocacy, participation and social responsibility in students.
