Abstract
This book presents the results of a foresight assessment for the inclusion of hydrogen-based technologies in the Colombian context and the analysis of hydrogen’s contribution to meeting the country’s greenhouse gas emission reduction commitments. To this end, it examines the development and costs of hydrogen production and utilization technologies, as well as enabling technologies with high potential for implementation in the country during the 2022–2050 period.
Based on the design and simulation of strategies for introducing hydrogen into the Colombian economic context, the book proposes public policy recommendations for the inclusion of hydrogen in the national energy matrix.
This publication is useful for professionals and researchers in the energy sector, as well as for the general public interested in learning about alternatives for the implementation of green technologies in the country.
