Optimization of Routes for Hospitalary Subnetworks in Bogota Through Genetic Algorithms

Research output: Chapter in Book/InformConference contribution

Abstract

The objective of this project is to optimize the routes of the different healthcare subnetworks in the city of Bogotá, aiming to provide support to the city's residents, ambulances, patients, or hospitals for their transportation needs. Additionally, we aim to propose changes in the distribution of the subnetworks, if necessary, to enhance and optimize travel times between medical centers. To achieve this, we will employ the technique of genetic algorithms, which involves crossbreeding individuals (solutions) from a pool of potential solutions to find the most optimal route in terms of time for traversing the northern, southwestern, central-eastern, and south subnetworks.
