On the boundaries of the centroid of a class of fuzzy numbers

Abstract

This paper presents an application of the Chebyshev's integral inequality to obtain the boundaries of the centroid of the class of singleton-core fuzzy numbers which are widely used in practical applications. An analysis of the obtained results is provided and some recommendations are given.
