Abstract
Almost 5 months after being declared a pandemic, 14.8 million cases of COVID-19 have been reported worldwide, with more than 600,000 deaths. A pandemic of this nature then becomes a situation that overwhelms the health, social, emotional and economic resources of individuals and communities. Moreover, the way in which this pandemic is experienced is not uniform, as it is permeated by the vulnerabilities imposed by the social context1 . Thus,
the psychological effects of a situation of this magnitude have become increasingly evident, involving adjustment reactions, affective disorders, post-traumatic stress, complicated grief, and psychotic disorders.
