Abstract

When the Faculty of Medicine reopened on June 15, 1965, thanks to an agreement signed between the Surgical Society and the Colegio Mayor, it was agreed that the administrative offices— dean's office, academic secretariat, and medical education department, as well as classrooms, basic science laboratories, library, and student welfare areas, would be located in the facilities of San José Hospital.
This is how the students in the program spent many hours a day, night, and weekend, when we were on duty, inside our beloved hospital, which became our second home. Over the years, other hospitals played a very important role in the training of Rosarista doctors, including the Central Military Hospital, the Lorencita Villegas de Santos University Children's Hospital, and the Occidente de Kennedy III Level Care Hospital. However, approximately 75% of hospital activities were carried out at San José Hospital.
