Abstract
The aim of this work was to determine the quality of life in people with rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis
in a Colombian sample. 124 patients were evaluated with rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis,
according the American Rheumatism Association. The obtained results were compared with the
information from a similar research carried out in the United States. The life quality was measured
through Spanish version of the Quality of Life Questionaire (QoL-RA). Results show that
Colombian patients with rheumatoid arthritis had a better life quality in all QoL-RA dimensions
compared with the United States patients who participated in the original test application,
American as well Latin-American.
