Abstract
This essay analyzes the non-planned consequences of the postindustrial society model, and his impacts in the social composition of the cities. Starting with the explanatory model constructed by Loic Wacquant, between Chicago and Paris, this paper compare the social exclusion presented in this cities, with the dynamics of exclusion presented in Cali, Colombia. This comparative exercise pretends to illustrate some common elements and differences among these cities, and on his different ways to produce urban space in the last decades.
