Abstract

The Pacific Alliance is the newest proposal for integration, in the Americas. It has been talked about a lot, have detractors and defenders, and every part supports the benefits or damages that the proposed integration poses. This paper aims to describe the conceptual gaps that support the integration proposal, also describe the performance within other integration processes developed by member-states of the Alliance and the commercial outcomes for each historical period. It is evident that historically member-states of the Alliance have been unable to maintain integration processes, and they are vulnerable to existing bilateral agreements developed by them. Finally, shows the outcomes from 2011-2014, period that has been in effect the integration agreement.
