Abstract
This article, based on the analysis of land restitution rulings and in-depth interviews with restitution policy users, demonstrates the impact of the armed conflict on the life stories of peasant women and their relationship with land in Colombia, specifically in the department of Caquetá. We assume that rulings issued within the framework of transitional justice for land restitution contribute to the reconstruction of victimizing events, contexts of vulnerability, and tensions surrounding land tenure. In other words, court records become a key tool for understanding the impact of the armed conflict on a historically vulnerable population, such as peasant women, and their relationship to land use and tenure.
