Fundamentos de las micosis humanas

The first edition of Fundamentals of Human Mycoses contains updated topics in medical mycology. It covers aspects such as taxonomy and morphophysiology of fungi, yeast diseases, filamentous fungi and dimorphic fungi, mycoses affecting the skin and subcutaneous tissue, mycoses prevalent in special populations such as children and HIV patients, modern diagnostic procedures, as well as the basics of antifungal therapy. Additionally, it includes a section describing novel aspects such as bioinformatics applied to the study of mycoses, vaccine development and general information about the human microbiota.
