Abstract
This article is situated within the framework of the study of current development problems. Its fundamental purpose is to establish a conceptual synthesis of three related topics: (i) Economic policy; (ii) Economic growth; and (iii) Foundations of the dynamics related to the generation of well-being and sustainable economic and social development. Based on an analytical and documentary approach, a convergent conceptual statement is made, establishing the essential components of each aspect (analytical phase) and then summarizing the main links (synthesis phase). The operative substrate is economic policy -especially monetary, fiscal, and exchange rate policy- which has a direct impact on productive growth (necessary but not sufficient) to subsequently promote development and sustainable social well-being. The perspective of this content is fundamentally that of developing or emerging countries, particularly in Latin America, the Caribbean, and sub-Saharan nation.
