Abstract
this book has several protagonists. The first is La Violencia, a political event that shook Colombia and enveloped it in a spectral reality for at least three decades, which filled it with corpses and missing persons and produced a humanitarian crisis of which no one speaks anymore. To speak of a humanitarian crisis in reference to Violence implies to separate myself from the political and sociological characterizations that have prevailed in the academic world. In that sense, this text does not attempt to explain historical events, but rather to explain them.
