Abstract
This work is the product of the convergence of academic and research interests of its authors on the subject of politics and economics in disability, and the result of the reflections that have been happening within the research group of Rehabilitation and Social Integration of the person with disability of the University of Rosario. The work presents a critical view of disability from historical, public, social, economic and philosophical perspectives. It is a review of some facts that have aggravated the phenomenon of social exclusion of people with disabilities, such as poverty, violence and lack of social cohesion.
