This article tries to explain the way in which it is giving the link to the journalistic work of actors with a mainly technological orientation (web coders, system engineers, designers) in Colombian investigative journalism. The case of Colombia demonstrates the complexity of the relationship between traditional journalistic research and the use of new research and analysis strategies when confronting a context of difficult access to public databases, which is why these new actors contribute to the transformation of the production of news and the routines and logic of journalistic production.
