Abstract
This article contrasts Latin American academics understanding of the interaction of levels and units of foreign policy analysis with that of their North American counterparts. The method-ology to achieve this objective consists of a documentary analysis of academic sources. It concludes that updating of contemporary debates and reconstructing academic networks are desirable steps to follow for Latin American scholars in search of offering innovative proposals.
