Abstract
Despite the fact that there are multiple treatments for schizophrenia, difficulties for social functioning persist. They can be associated with difficulties on social cognition, negative symptoms, neurocognitive functions, and pragmatic linguistic difficulties. Spontaneous speech prosody is essential to communicate emotions. Its suprasegmental parameters volume, melody and speed, affect both the meaning and the emotional information.
