El renacer de una ilusión: Historia de la Facultad de Medicina y de la Escuela de Medicina y Ciencias de la Salud de la Universidad del Rosario, 1969-2019. Tomo 2

This work, published in two volumes, covers the period from April 1969 to June 2019 and constructs a story that weaves together the most relevant events in Colombian and international history and the history of health policies and medical education, seeking to understand the internal processes of the Faculty in a critical and comprehensive manner. To tell this story, two broad periods were established, additionally to antecedents from 1965 to 1969. The first period (Volume I) began in 1969. The second period (Volume II) started in 2000, when the contract between the Universidad del Rosario and the Bogotá Surgery Society ended, and the Faculty of Medicine began to depend exclusively on the University. The work ends in 2019, the graduation date of the first class of students trained under the new curriculum of the Medicine Program. This text is an invitation to get to know the vibrant evolution of our Faculty and School of Medicine and Health Sciences, written in various hands by actors involved in the process and listening to multiple voices. Finally, given how it was conceived and written, this work constitutes a history of Colombia seen from the life at our School.
