This booklet is intended to help parents take care of their children's health. It is the product of 20 years of community work and a way to give back to the community and our students all that we have learned. One of the basic elements in public health practices is communication with the community. We have worked hard in children's health care so that its message of health promotion and disease prevention is understood by all and thus has a positive impact on children's lives. The School of Medicine and Health Sciences of the Universidad del Rosario, in its community practices with children, has seen the need to support them and their families to overcome the difficulties inherent in their life cycle. Children need help, although the processes of growth and development are natural, these are easier to overcome when they have the timely support of parents and educators.
