Ejercer la medicina: enfoque práctico: Sobrevivir al año rural Vol. 2

This book presents the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to different pathologies, based on scientific evidence and medical experience, in health care institutions of first level of complexity, especially those located in rural areas, difficult to access or dispersed areas of Colombia. It also includes recommendations for the early identification of criteria for referral to centers of higher level of complexity or assessment by the respective specialist physician, depending on the clinical case. This book is composed of twenty-six chapters written by medical interns, final year undergraduate medical students, edited and supported by the advice of medical-surgical specialists and professors of the Universidad del Rosario.

This volume is aimed at physicians who are about to perform the year of Compulsory Social Service, rural year, and for those who are already in the exercise of the same; as well as health personnel who are in health care centers in remote areas or low complexity levels of care, as it includes recommendations for the treatment of situations of cardiovascular clinical, surgical, toxicological, psychiatric, pediatric, gynecological, administrative, forensic medicine and tropical diseases, which are frequently found in the clinical practice of rural Colombia.
