Abstract

Insulin growth factors (IGFs) have been suggested as mediators in weight gain, carcinogenesis, as well as in the recurrence and survival in breast cancer patients. Similarly, the high levels of plasma IGFs are associated with increased tumor growth, proliferation and metastasis mechanisms. The interventions of physical activity can control the expression of these biomarkers in breast cancer patients.
