Abstract

This work is the first edition of an academic collection that reflects the educational research carried out by students of the first cohorts of the Specialization and Master’s programs in Education for Health Professionals offered under an agreement between Universidad del Rosario and Universidad Javeriana. The book is divided into five sections focusing on learning, teaching, and didactics; evaluation for learning; curriculum; evaluation of educational quality and accreditation; and education, communication, and culture. Each of these sections presents an introduction to the field of knowledge, contextualizes and situates its aims in terms of the pertinence and pedagogical rigor underlying the sense and meaning of the training of health professionals, and determines the means and ends of the impact of teaching and learning on professional practice, in the face of the demands of competitiveness, quality, and academic innovation in the framework of higher education. The authors report on the reflective experience of health professionals as students in different training scenarios, especially in clinical and medical-surgical realities.
