Abstract

We have all submitted a scientific article for review with the idea that it should be published in a certain journal. Often, authors experience many barriers to success (achieving publication) when submitting articles for review. These barriers depend on the writing of the article itself, the biases of the peer reviewers, the way the cover letter is written, and the way in which a strategy is implemented to address and respond to the observations (wrong or wrong) made by the peer reviewers and the journal editor. The purpose of this experiential article is to provide useful advice to authors researching in the area of clinical engineering on how to publish articles on health topics in high impact journals in the area of operations research & management sciences.
